As part of its drive to modernize procedures and improve the quality of service it provides to taxpayers, the Direction Générale des Impôts has undertaken the development of a tele-procedures platform that enables taxpayers to declare and pay their taxes online.

Thus, this Wednesday, October 07, 2020, the Deputy Director General of Taxes Mr Innocents OUEDRAOGO, presided over the ceremony to launch the widespread use of the eSINTAX platform in the Centre-Sud region (Manga) in the presence of local taxpayers. He was joined by Yaya HEMA, Regional Tax Director for the Centre-Sud region, and Mayel DABIRE, IT Director.

Prior to the launch, the project team presented the tool’s functionalities. She pointed out that the platform is of great interest to both taxpayers and tax authorities. As of October 06, 2020, eSINTAX had more than 5,165 members, including 877 in tax center departments and provincial tax departments. 157,315 registrants. 21,677 payments via banks. 1,730 mobile money payments. 282,288 withholding tax certificates. 9,203 requests for tax status certificates. 1,678 applications for sales certification.

In his launch speech, Mr. OUEDRAOGO invited all taxpayers in the Centre-Sud region to make the eSINTAX portal their own, and to support the DGI in its modernization process.
